Takuan Takusan Takuan Takusan. Rainbow-colored takuan is Takusan. I’ve never sold takuan before, but I love eating it. I chew on thin slices of takuan bit by bit, savoring the faint fruity flavor. I made the rainbow-colored takuan by sticking a syringe full of food coloring into it over and over again. Takuan Takuan Takunan Takunan. Life is Takunan. Takuan has a hint of sweetness amidst its saltiness. Takuan Takusan Takuan Takusan.

モザイク版の2枚めの画像の正体がこれ。スズメガの幼虫は芋虫の元ネタ。あんまりにも大きすぎるとむっちゃびっくりするし、実物はもっと小さい。成虫も。
This is what the second image in the mosaic version actually is. The caterpillar of the sphinx moth is the inspiration for the “caterpillar” character. It’s so huge that it’s really startling, but the real thing is much smaller. The adult moth is too.
蛾が好き。特にスズメガの画像をむちゃくちゃ集めるぐらい好き。図書館の表紙に鳥みたいな変な生き物の写真が気になったので調べてみたらホシホウジャクだったので。角度によっては人間の目みたいになるし、鳥みたいだし、でも羽と後ろを裏は蛾。めちゃくちゃ早いし、人間が近づくとピューと逃げる。夏とか秋はホウジャクが出てくる。公園の釣り鐘状の花を高速で羽ばたかせ、ホバリングしながら盗蜜をするのを眺める旬の季節。ホウジャク見と勝手に呼ぶ。
I love moths. I love them so much that I collect tons of images of the Hawkmoth in particular. I was intrigued by a photo of a strange, bird-like creature on the cover of a library book, so I looked it up and found out it was a Starry Hawkmoth. Depending on the angle, it looks like a human eye or a bird, but with wings and a back that’s clearly a moth’s. It’s incredibly fast and darts away the moment a person gets close. Hawkmoth appear in summer and fall. It’s the perfect season to watch them flutter at high speed around the bell-shaped flowers in the park, hovering as they steal nectar. I just call them “ Hawkmoth” for short.

The larvae have long, slender projections on their tails, like this one. They’re also the origin of the Japanese word for “caterpillar” and are well-known as crop-damaging insects.
前のサイトのドメインを切らしネットをめちゃくちゃサボって今まで何をしていたかというと、仕事をしながら絵を描いていました。そう、4月から8月までも絵を描いていた。頭の中が変態怪盗の方の雨宮兄弟がたくさんいた。いろんな世界線とか、解釈とか、哲学的なことを語りかけたりとか、何者かを考えようとした。ニトリル手袋を買ったから本の続きを読めるかもしれない。センシティブな本を読もうとすると手に汗をめちゃくちゃ出るので汚してしまうかもしれないし、しかもその駿河屋で買った本は世界で最後の1冊なのかもしれないと思う。
My previous site’s domain expired, and I’ve been slacking off big time online—so what have I been up to all this time? Well, I’ve been drawing while working. That’s right, I was drawing from April through August. My head was filled with the AMAMIYA brothers—the perverted master thieves（Original Author:ABEGAWA ）. I explored various alternate timelines, interpretations, and philosophical musings, trying to figure out who they really were. Since I bought some nitrile gloves, I might finally be able to finish reading that book. Whenever I try to read a sensitive book, my hands get really sweaty, so I might end up getting it dirty—plus, I can’t help but think that the copy I bought at Surugaya might be the very last one in the world.
3年前からAIに絵を描かせるっていう作業をしていたけど流行に引っ張られすぎて、納得いく絵があんまりない。センシティブなものを描かせる、AIがセンシティブなものの流行を描いてお前もそれ好きだろうと言う、鮠ｻ陦は全然納得行かないというのを繰り返し飽きてしまって退会しちゃった。結局、鮠ｻ陦はさ、鬼と忍者(忍殺の世界で言うニンジャに近い)多き地雷原を進もうと絵を描いているわけだからAIに絵を描かせるのは向いていないわけだったんだよ…。
I’ve been having AI draw pictures for the past three years, but AI got too caught up in trends, and there aren’t many pictures I’m really satisfied with. It kept repeating the same cycle: I’d have it draw something sensitive, the AI would depict whatever was trending in that category and imply, “You must like this too,” and I’d be completely unsatisfied—so I eventually got tired of it and canceled my subscription. In the end, I see, I’m drawing pictures to navigate a minefield full of demons and ninjas (more like the “Ninja” from the Ninja Slayer universe), so having an AI draw for me just wasn’t the right approach for me…
